Grades 2-8

The creative process can be messy—for writers and for artists. Through a series of hand-on activities, Lisa will share tricks for tackling the tough stuff—from writer’s block to accepting feedback to generating ideas. Young authors and artists will leave with the tools to launch their own creative projects. (Ideal for students learning at home, with lots of follow up activities using common supplies.)

Grades 3-8

In this fun and interactive program, Lisa takes students on the journey of writing a book. Together they’ll explore how ideas become stories and how stories become books. Lisa will share her path to publication and her favorite revision practices. Kids will see actual drafts, research notebooks, copyedits, and revisions of Lisa’s work. They’ll even get to help her revise a paragraph from her current project!
